Description
OsimertinibTagrix 80mg is an exclusive drug of it’s kind. This drug has been approved by the USFDA for the treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.
OsimertinibTagrix 80mg works for patients who developed progressive lung cancer due to the mutation T790M in the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene. OsimertinibTagrix 80mg should only be prescribed once the lab tests have confirmed the mutation.
Those who developed disease after EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy may also be prescribed this particular medicine.
Dosage and consumption
Please consult your health care provider and follow their instructions regarding the dosage, frequency, duration and method of intake of OsimertinibTagrix 80mg.
The routine recommended dosage is one tablet (80 mg) daily, once daily.This needs to be taken orally either with meals or on an empty stomach.
In cases, where the cancer worsens or extreme adverse effects occur, the treatment must be discontinued after consulting the doctor. For those patients who experience difficulty in swallowing tablet, this one may be dissolved in nearly 50 ml of water and administered nasally with the help of nasogastric tube.

- Raised Body temperature
- Increased heart rate
- Swelling in legs
- Dizziness
Side effects
Tagrix (Osimertinib) is capable of causing the below mentioned side effects. This is not a full list of all side effects that may occur with this drug. Please seek medical advice from your doctor about if you experience serious side effects and they become overtly bothersome. The following have been registered in 10 percent of patients who consumed this drug:
- Diarrhea
- Rashes and dryness on skin
- Fragile fingernails
- Nausea and vomiting
- Reduced appetite
- Coughing
- Tiredness
- Headaches
- Inflammation of oral mucosa
