Ricovir 300 mg tablets contain Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate as the active agent. This is nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) type of drug. This drug acts by incorporating itself in the viral DNA and inhibits the activity of the enzyme reverse transcriptase.

Ricovir 300 mg helps in controlling symptoms of HIV/AIDS and for treating Hepatitis B viral infection.
