Description
Sprycel tablets are anti-cancer medications that are used for treatment of certain types of skin cancers.
Uses
- Philadelphia chromosome–positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in cases where treatment with other drugs was not well-tolerated.
- Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL)
Side Effects
The most common side effects with Sprycel tablets are:
- Abdominal aches
- Vomiting and nausea
- Loose stools
- Musculoskeletal aches
- Headaches
- Weakness
Please seek medical advice from your doctor about if you experience serious or unusual side effects while consuming Sprycel tablets, such as: dry cough, swelling in hands or feet, difficulty in breathing etc.
Drug allergies are quite common and might occur as a result of reaction to active ingredients as well as inactive ingredients. The most common side effects of allergies are: itching, rashes, hives, shortness of breath, low blood pressure, dizziness and loose motions.
Warnings and Precautions
- You must always inform your doctor about your past and present drug allergies, other substance allergies while taking Sprycel tablets.
- Before using Sprycel tablets, inform your doctor or pharmacist regarding relevant medical history especially of Liver problems, present infections if any and heart related problems. Also inform about the medications you are currently taking.
